OSTEOPATHY

WHAT
IS OSTEOPATHY?
Definition
from the Dorland medical dictionary (1957):
Osteopathy is a manual medicine, a therapeutic method conceived
by A.T. Still and based on the principle that the body
is capable of fabricating its own remedies against illnesses,
when its structural relations are normal, its nourishment
is good, and it's inserted in a good environment.
Osteopathy
as a "Holistic" (which as such is set as being the re-balancing
of the patient in his entirety and not the cure of the symptom!)
has a very wide field of application: today it is used principally
for painful afflictions of the spinal column (e.g. when
one's back has been put out, back pains, lumbischialgia,
slipped discs), and peripheral articulations (e.g.: carpal
tunnel syndrome, sprained ankles); but it is also efficacious
in most cases of insomnia, cephalalgy, migraine, balance
disturbances, congestive afflictions such as otitis, rhinopharyngitis,
sinusitis, circulatory, digestive or gynecological disturbances
which do not originate from viral disturbances, infections
which undermine the integrity of the structure.
OSTEOPATHY
AND BIO ENERGY RESEARCH
In
the last few years research in the field of vibrational
energy has made much progress; scientists from Bio Energy
Research, after years of research and tests have finally
realised products which irradiate signals capable of protecting
our organism from electromagnetic radiation emitted from
our computers, mobile telephones, power lines etc. These
products are able to hinder negative radiation which are
normally absorbed by our organism in order to re-balance
the altered electromagnetic fields.
But
the real discovery is the possibility of being able to improve
the local blood circulation: using thermo graphics it has
been possible to note that these products are in a position
of amplifying and bettering local vasco-circulation of the
areas in which they find themselves in contact . These considerations
find a vast field of application in "Osteopathic Medicine":
to be in good health the neurological regulations of integrity
of our system is necessary, of our hormonal system, circulatory
and of our "structure"; the aim is to favour the normal
reactions of the organism, favour, that is to say the possibilities
of self-healing and therefore bettering the blood flow until
the organism re-finds in itself and by itself its state
of health and general homeostasis.
DIRECTIONS
FOR USE
Spinal
column
Pains and dysfunction with or without irradiations such
as: cruralgias, lower back pains, lumbischialgia, intercostal
neuralgia,back aches, cervicalgias, cervico-brachial neuralgia,
torti-collis, scoliosis etc.
Limbs
Pains and disorders of all the apendicular articulations,
such as sprains, tendonitis articular blocks, bursitis,
carpal tunnel syndrome, metatarsal, "rheumatism" etc.
Cranium
Pains and disorders such as: headaches, cephalalgy, migraine,
some afflictions of the orthodontic apparatus and of the
jaw, trigeminal and facial neuralgias in general, some eye
problems, sinusitis, and afflictions tied to new-born babies
and children related to childbirth etc.
Viscera
The viscera as all the organs of our body, move and can
therefore become "blocked". Their movements depend on themselves
and on the muscular structures and adjacent membranes. It
has been demonstrated that a kidney covers 600 meters a
day in its cavity by way of the action of the diaphragm
muscle. If it only covers 300 it will function less well
and there will be a greater possibility of becoming ill.
When a light bulb doesn't work, it's possible that the problem
lies in the switch (spinal column) or with the light bulb
itself (viscera). So problems such as hepatic colic, improper
functioning of the gall bladder, gastritis, colitis, diarrhea,
constipation, certain forms of sterility as well as problems
related to the menstrual cycle, can find remedies in Osteopathy
.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
The
field of action of Osteopathy is therefore that of functional
medicine and excludes all serious anatomical lesions but
also therefore all medical urgencies/emergencies. In these
cases we are no longer dealing with finding the cause of
the problem which permitted the illness to enter, but of
taking swift action, so that the responsible disease can
no longer be beaten only by the defense mechanism of the
organism alone.
CONCLUSIONS
In
my daily practice, I have been able to verify the real effectiveness
of the use of the Bio Energy Research products in conjunction
with osteopathic treatments; in particular it has been shown
that in the treatment of professional athletes such as football
players, basketball players and cyclists, the recovery time
for being able to continue their activity following on from
general problems (excluding fractures or viral pathologies)
is halved in respect of patients treated without the use
of the products. In particular I feel compelled to point
out to those who work in the field and who deal with sporting
traumas and the recovery of injured patients, the huge potential
of the massage oils and of the bandages in that they don't
represent any kind of doping.
